Admission Criteria

Every year Director of Employment and Craftsmen Training, Assam issues advertisement inviting applications for admission into ITI for Women Guwahati in the Month of May / June through online process at website https://itiassam.nic.in. The application form costing Rs.5.00 each is provided at ITI for Women, Guwahati for the limited period as mentioned in admission notice. Boys and Girls permanently residing in Assam are eligible for admission into ITI for Women, Guwahati. The candidate must be within the age group of 14 years to 40 years as on 1st August of the year of admission. No age bar for women candidates. The candidates must also possess the minimum qualifications prescribed for the Trades in which admission is desired. The candidate seeking admission into ITI should be medically fit and must produce a certificate of medical fitness from a authorized medical practitioner which is normally arranged by the institute. (a. By percentage of Marks in qualifying Exam, b. Written Test, c. Interview, d. Any other)

Selection Procedure

Selection of candidates for admission for one year & two years courses are made as per following procedure :- Selection for Post Metric Trade is made on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in HSLC or HSSLC examination as the case may be. Selection for Under Metric Trade is made on the basis of marks secured on the written admission test as notified in due time. Eligible candidates for written test may obtain their Roll No. / Venue of Test on the Date notified. At least three times of the number of sanctioned seats are listed and displayed in the notice board of ITI for Women, Guwahati for certificate verification interview on the date notified. Spot admission is given to the finally selected candidates, the list of which with date is displayed and notified in due time. Seat Reservations for various categories are maintained as per mentioned in admission notice of DECT, Assam.

Admission in short term MES (NCVT) Courses

Admission in short term, part time Modular Employable Skill (MES) is almost continuous process on demand in various courses. Duration of course is like 120Hours, 180Hours etc. Minimum required qualification is the main base of selection procedure. Total Rs. 1800 is to be deposited for admission (with a discount for some castes) and except the examination fees which is refunded to a pass out trainee. NCVT Certificate is awarded to a pass out trainee. For details may contact with MES section of ITI for Women, Guwahati.
